Health and Safety Training
erger's Cultural Resource Group maintains active health and safety programs for the benefit of employees and clients. A core staff of over a dozen employees have current 40-hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) training to meet the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120. This team includes professional personnel in management, field and laboratory positions.
These employees are provided with annual 8-hour refresher training to maintain current certification, and are participants in a medical surveillance program in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120(f). Site safety officers also have 8 hours of HAZWOPER supervisor training, 8 hours of site specific confined space training, and 2 hours of Asbestos Awareness Training.
The Group also operates ongoing excavation safety and hazard communication training programs in compliance with OSHA regulations. Supervisors with field responsibilities are required to maintain current standard first aid and CPR training.
